Romania

I just came back from Romania with my family. I was in Bucharest, than we went to Brasov, and from Brasov to Sibiu. We’ve visited all this towns in 3 days, pretty tired, but interesting:) And of course, besides beautiful places that we’ve seen, I had some bad experience too. First Bucharest – if you are asking tickets for trains, do ask also any tickets for passing trains, if you’ll not mention this – a women from the information window – will not tell it you! I just don’t get it…  how it is possible? I’ve never met such stupid things before!
2. Brasov- DO NOT EXCHANGE YOUR MONEY IN EXCHANGE OFFICES, ONLY IN BANKS, ON WEEKENDS THERE ARE WORKING EXCHANGE MACHINES (banks do not work on weekend) – outside of the bank branch, it looks exactly like cash machine. So I was cheated on 20.00 Euro, from 100.00 Euro I get only 80.00, and it is called European country…yeah right…when somebody will see it and stop it?? And of course, no police around…
Also if you’ll be late on train and you do not have a ticket, it is possible to buy it in train, BUT you’ll pay 40% more, than buying it in advance. Brasov trip was very unpleasant for me… Still there were a funny moment, with a man on the tree electioning for one political party – never seen such things before:)) I should make a photo, everybody would laugh from this till tears:)) This Friday in Romania they have elections.
3.Sibiu-very beautiful town, they are still keeping old houses, and it is impressing, there are more old houses than modern, from my point of view, of course I haven’t been in every corner of this town. Here I was very impressed by no McDonald’s, they have only one McDonald’s restaurant outside the town, and that’s all. May be some one do not like McDonald’s, but believe me, it is more tasty than any Romanian fast food – do not eat there, cuz you’ll get sick after such fast food, it is better to buy food from supermarkets:)
